Pond Filtration

The Biotec 10.1 system is the follow-up to the successful Biotec 10 model. This new model is also a flow though filter which have many advantages such as the rich supply of oxygen and high flow through rates.

The polluted water is fed into the filtration system with the help of an Aquamax pump. The filter surfaces trap the particles and organic debris, cleaning the pond mechanically. Also, the filter develops an active biological environment to enable the nitrification in oxygen-rich conditions. During this process toxic nitrite compounds are converted into other harmless compounds.

Cleaning just became easier with the Biotec 10.1 also. When filter foam requires cleaning they may be squeezed against an intermediate plate with a new cleaning lever. The waste outlet can then be opened, allowing the dirty water to drain out.
