Most energy efficient. Keeps a portion of the garden pond free of ice down to - 4° F. The winter-design float is connected to a pump via a silicon hose that is suspended in the pond. It moves warmer water from the deeper zones of the pond and thus keeps the area around the float free of ice. This relieves the pond environment from excessive stresses due to gases from fermentation processes or lack of oxygen.
